If the DNR doesn't leave Wildlife food such as corn and Critical Soybean stands.. Pheasants in the Southern and Southwestern parts of Minnesota Really suffer when high snow fall during the winter covers everything and then they starve to death or Freeze to Death,, More people need to start complaining to them about this matter. Most all WMA's are harvested and nothing is left for food for them to survive. Cuz the DNR doesn't plant these acres but by farmers.

I have been a part of a pheasant hunting group from California who just finished our 20th consecutive year together as we embark to Kansas, anywhere from 3 to 5 members. And I know what you guys are talking about, great times and memories shared.

I love this show but Travis, never quite understand bringing a 2 shot O/U to hunt pheasants or partridge or grouse, 3rd shot is so important

I live in midcoast Maine. I’m 66 now growing up here in the midcoast grouse hunting was good. Now almost non exsistant here

I hunted in Huron January 20-22 this year and it was tuff I’m only 13 and the amount of slues and snow was so annoying we shot 23 birds that weekend but it was rough

Technically the Maine north woods are private lands that are open to the public once gate fees and day use/over night fees have been paid.

30 miles on a dog in one day!?! Those dogs are gonna to be cripples before they turn 8. I've seen it happen. Mine has a max per day of 14 even though he'd gladly run twice that. You have to have restraint on the dog or the joints are going to be gone in their prime years.

Definitely do a hunt in eastern WA. We have chukars, Huns, California quail, pheasant, rabbits, Ruffed, blue, and spruce grouse, and doves. Yakama Indian rez has some nice posted “feel free to hunt” spots.
